Enterprise RAG & knowledge assistants

Company knowledge.
Answers you can trace.

Help your team find answers across approved SOPs, manuals and internal documents. Use AI, LLMs and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) with source references and an agreed approach to data security and integrity.

Operations

Find the procedure.

Locate approved steps for receiving, exceptions and escalation in operational SOPs.

Customer support

Find the source.

Help staff find product guidance and support policies before reviewing a response.

Internal teams

Find the context.

Make agreed manuals and team knowledge easier to use during onboarding and daily work.

Explore a sample knowledge assistant

An answer you can
trace to its source.

Try three situations: a supported answer, a question the documents cannot answer, and a simulated access restriction.

01 / Question & answerSample role: warehouse operations
You ask

What should I do if the carton totals do not match?

Supported by a sample source

Place the receipt on hold. Record the printed and counted quantities, then ask the shift supervisor to review and resolve the discrepancy before confirming the receipt.

The staff member can open the cited passage and check the answer before acting.

These predefined responses demonstrate intended behaviour. No live LLM, retrieval, document upload or access enforcement runs here. A customer pilot evaluates answer quality, missing evidence and permissions against agreed test cases.

Fit the work to your existing systems

Your sources.
Clear access boundaries.

Start with a read-only knowledge workflow. Your existing AI or search platform may be the right foundation; we assess that before recommending a custom build.

  1. Approve the sources

One document collection, a knowledge owner and an agreed input route. Check formats, versions and update frequency.

  2. Define access

Map who can see each source and how those permissions reach retrieval. Verify the controls in the selected environment.

  3. Retrieve and evaluate

Test representative questions, source support, citation correctness and situations where an answer should be withheld.

  4. Keep it current

Agree source updates, regression checks, operating costs and a support owner before a production rollout.

Your team brings

A knowledge owner, approved documents, representative questions and an IT contact for permissions and source access.

We agree together

The implementation route, data handling, access tests, answer-quality criteria, update process and handover.

Before production

Verify source permissions and updates, quality monitoring, retention, deployment controls and support responsibilities.

The sample RAG conversation illustrates the intended behaviour. It does not connect to your sources, run an LLM or enforce real user permissions.

From a question to a delivery decision

A clear scope.
Evidence at every step.

Start with a paid assessment. Proceed to a pilot only when the use case, source material and evaluation plan make sense.

01

Assess the knowledge

Paid assessment · planning range 1–2 weeks

Map the recurring questions, review approved document samples and compare what your existing tools can already do. Agree the data-handling approach and pilot acceptance criteria.

You receiveFindings, scope and a separately priced pilot proposal.

02

Build and evaluate

Scoped pilot · planning range 4–6 weeks

Build a read-only assistant for the agreed team and collection. Evaluate source-linked answers, retrieval, insufficient-evidence handling and access behaviour against reviewed questions.

You receivePilot assistant, evaluation report and a rollout recommendation.

03

Decide on production

Separately scoped after the pilot

Use the results to decide what should ship. Define deployment, document updates, monitoring, user training, support ownership and ongoing usage costs.

You receiveAn agreed production plan, or a clear decision to stop or revise.

Agree the boundaries

One team, one approved document collection and one input route: upload or a scoped connector. The assistant answers questions in a read-only workflow. Document volume, language, users and access rules are agreed in the proposal.

Define success together

Evaluate answer correctness, source support, retrieval, insufficient-evidence handling and access behaviour. Measure response time, review effort and operating cost against your agreed baseline and acceptance criteria.

Prepare your team

Bring a business owner, an IT contact, approved representative documents and a reviewed question set. Agree review time and sample handling before implementation.

Plan the next step separately

Additional teams and sources, autonomous system updates, production rollout and 24/7 support are outside the initial pilot scope. Deployment, handover and managed operation are agreed separately.

Planning ranges depend on agreed scope, document readiness, access and customer review time. Fees and model, cloud or software charges are agreed in the proposal.

Before we talk

Questions from
your team, answered.

Understand the fit, the customer effort and the decisions that shape an enterprise RAG engagement.

What is RAG?

Retrieval-augmented generation connects a large language model to relevant information from an agreed collection. The assistant retrieves source material to help compose an answer. It still needs evaluation: retrieval can miss relevant information, and a cited answer can still be wrong.

Could our existing AI or search tools be enough?

Yes. The assessment checks your current tools first. Custom work makes sense when you need a specific knowledge workflow, source handling, access behaviour or integration that your existing setup does not adequately support.

Which sources and integrations are included?

The proposed pilot covers one approved document collection and one agreed input route: a document upload or a scoped connector. We review format, size, language, document ownership and update frequency before committing to scope. Additional sources and connectors are priced separately.

How are data security and integrity handled?

Before sample evaluation, we agree what data can be used, where it is processed, what the model provider receives, who can access it, and how retention and deletion are handled. Document versions, source references and permission checks are part of the agreed pilot design and evaluation. Deployment controls are verified for the selected environment.

What happens when the documents do not support an answer?

We design and test an insufficient-evidence response and a route to the responsible person. The evaluation includes unanswerable questions, conflicting or outdated sources, and access boundaries. The aim is to make these limitations visible before rollout.

How much customer time does the pilot need?

Nominate a business owner and an IT contact. Your team supplies approved sample documents, representative questions with expected answers, and agreed review time. We set a review schedule during scoping so delivery does not depend on daily interruptions to your staff.

What does it cost, and when can we start?

Start with a free 30-minute discovery call. Assessment fees, pilot fees and any cloud, model or software charges are agreed before work starts. The assessment planning range is 1–2 weeks and the pilot range is 4–6 weeks, subject to scope, document readiness, access and customer review time. These are planning ranges, not a reserved delivery slot.
